MyGeotab - Setup Purge

This article explains how to setup the purge feature in MyGeotab.

Steps

      1. Login to MyGeotab
      2. Navigate to 'Administration' > 'System' > 'System Settings'


      3. Click on 'Purge'


      4. Enable 'Routinely Purge Older Data'


      5. Click on 'Add Purge Schedule'


      6. Fill out all the necessary fields


      7. You have successfully added Purge

It is important to note that for compliance reason, HOS logs must be retained for 6 months. So the workaround will be to archive the users you would like to remove and put them in a group that will be set up to purge HOS logs outside of the most recent 6 months. This likely means that the users will have to be archived for at least 6 months before they can be removed. Only Admins with Security Clearance which contains System Settings can add Purge.
